Kunal Deoskar – Lappis Warli

”This is a unique interpretation of the Lappis student housing complex in the style of a Warli painting, a tribal art form originating from my native state of Maharashtra in central India. The central element of the painting is a radial dance arrangement, known as the ’tarpa dance’ featuring a person playing the ’tarpa’, a tribal musical instrument traditionally used by the Warli tribes during festive dances. The ’tarpa dance’embodies the vibrant and joyful spirit as well as the festive ambience of the Lappis student community.

The painting also depicts the natural elements that surround the area, such as forests, deer, and lakes, as well as the amenities that are available to students, including the Lappis outdoor gym. Towards the right of the painting, the world-famous Lappis beach is illustrated, featuring summer activities such as stand-up paddleboarding and swimming that are enjoyed by Lappis residents. The Lappis Warli painting is a celebrationof the unique community that has developed within the Lappis housing complex, which is not just a place to live, but a vibrant and dynamic hub of student life.”

Inga Dolinskaja – Important message

”All is one and one is all.

In cosmic dance, we intertwine as a whole.
Connected beings in the grand design.
Each action, deed and feel – a sign.

They shape the destinies, leaving an endless impress.
A little paper plane reflects the power we possess.
Seeds of deeds spread far and wide.
Consequences bloom with each stride.

What we aim for, we surely find
The universe echoes, with kind.
Pause and recognize, let’s be aware
It’s a presence that we wear and share.”
